first of all, sorry for being a deadbeat blogger. i've been experiencing major blogger's block and please know that although i've not been blogging, i'm always thinking (guiltily) about it…does that count? didn't think so.
now that apologies are out of the way, excuses are in order. every time i sit down to write, i get distracted by something (usually another blog… i know. unforgivable irony). and more often than not, it's my new fave food blog with gourmet recipes that even you (yes YOU, the person reading this blog who once set your NYC kitchen on fire by merely pre-heating your oven. oh, with the unopened, plastic wrapped owners manual INSIDE) can enjoy perusing: Food52.com.
See below for some of my favorite tried and true (and easy!) recipes. But only if you don't have something else to do because it will cause you to miss that deadline you've been trying to ignore.

baguette with chevre scrambled eggs. this is the PERFECT "friends over for brunch" dish. with entertaining, i say keep it simple! toast a baguette, scramble the eggs, toss them in, serve with fruit salad and mimosas. i didn't divide the bread - i brought the whole baquette out to the table and sliced at the table. much more communal that way!
